Agnes, 1978
Sawing over the drawing my mom made of this mystery person (that I named Agnesl) in 1978, brought out a person who would have gone dancing at The Mudd Club with my mom. An asymmetrical hair style and multiple earrings in one ear, Agnes is ready to dance! Each piece is made by hand and each detail is sawed by hand.
Each one will vary slightly as is the nature of handcrafted. Agnes wears a tiny hoop and a heart and lightning earring which are all brass. The face is aluminum and extra lightweight so even though Agnes measures approximately 2.5” long and 2” wide, these are extremely light. The ear wires are Sterling Silver and everything is hypoallergenic and nickel free.
