Mizrach/East sign
For Jews in the diaspora west, it is customary to pray in the direction of Jerusalem, which is typically east. Mizrach means east. Hang this on the window or wall that is east to remind you and to connect you with the holy land. East is also the direction of the rising sun which symbolizes rebirth, moving forward. Mizrach is a synonym in Hebrew for east and sunrise.
These gorgeous signs are lightweight acrylic with a pattern of engraved Jewish stars and the letters cut out. You choose between gold mirror or iridescent at checkout. They measure just under 4” wide and 9 3/4” long. There is a hole at the top to either hang on a nail or it comes with a string to use as well.
Please note: every single thing is made by hand in our Ithaca, NY studio. The nature of handcrafted is that items may vary and will not be exactly the same.
